Administrative Team
Robert Raines is the Interim Principal of Southbridge High School, leading a team of teachers and staff who are all dedicated to supporting the needs of Southbridge students.
Mr. Raines has experience in Southbridge Public Schools, most recently as the Secondary Curriculum Coordinator. Prior to that, he was the Assistant Principal of Southbridge Academy. Previously, he was a Social Studies teacher and department leader at the high school level in East Haddam, CT, and the K-12 Curriculum Specialist for Social Studies in Portland Connecticut.
“Our team is united in its mission to build a culture of excellence and positivity at Southbridge High School. We believe that all students are capable of meeting with success and we're dedicated to helping them get there. I am personally excited for the year ahead and look forward to welcoming students back to the building,” Mr. Raines says.
Tim Hippert is the Assistant Principal of Climate and Culture at Southbridge High School. He oversees the student support team, which consists of the Dean of Students, Student Engagement Officers, and case managers. Together they promote positive culture, and restorative practices, and help to support the relationship between students and teachers.
Before arriving at Southbridge Public Schools, Mr. Hippert attended Saint Anselm College and American International College, receiving an M.Ed. in Administration and Leadership. He previously taught at North High School in Worcester and at the Robert F. Kennedy Children’s Support Center in Lancaster, MA.
Scott Anderson is an Assistant Principal at Southbridge High School. He manages mentoring and coaching, assists in curriculum development, and oversees teachers and students while promoting a positive environment for learning and academic and social-emotional growth.
Mr. Anderson previously worked in special education and as a coach at Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School. He studied at Becker College, Worcester State University, and Ashford University.
Mr. Anderson’s goals for students at Southbridge High School are to see them excel in their studies, become responsible citizens in the community, participate in active learning, utilize critical thinking to solve problems, and to take ownership and responsibility for their successes and failures.
